     * = Required for lecture exams. Also used in front of required Synonyms from RHS etc.

       Full reference citations are listed below the abbreviations.

       III, RHS, FNA, and G&C are most commonly used.

                        Mark Griffiths 1994 Index of Garden Plants by Timber Press, Inc. is a one volume

                           condensed version of names and synonyms from RHS.
