Most members of the Family Leguminosae or Fabaceae have the ability to fix nitrogen
from the soil.
Flower colors are usually yellow or white.
2. Fruit
Leguminosae fruit are a pod, often with constrictions between the seeds, and the bean
pods come in all shapes and sizes. This make identification easy if fruit are present.
