1. Heart shaped leaves

So far, we have covered 3 key plant genera with heart shaped leaves.

In Unit 002, basswoods (Tilia) have heart shaped leaves with serrated or toothed

margins.

In Unit 003, the Katsura tree (Cercidiphyllum japonicum) has heart shaped leaves

with crenate or wavy margins.

Here in Unit 004, we look at redbud (Cercis canadensis) which has heart shaped

leaves and entire or smooth leaf margins.
