1. Emerald Ash Borer

Since 2001, this new pest from Asia is killing many Ash (Fraxinus) trees in

Michigan and surrounding areas. It is an aggressive destructive insect that may

eliminate ash trees from many landscapes. There are quarantines in Michigan

and all ash trees are being destroyed in several areas in Michigan.
