Form: Frost-tender annual.
Bark:
Stem/Bud: Stems are stout, hairy and sticky.
Leaves: Leaves are broadly ovate or triangular, rough, 6 in. wide, long-petioled, opposite, hairy and sticky.
Fall Color:
Flower: Flowers are purple to red, blotched and yellow striped on lower side. They are fragrant, trumpet-shaped, 5-lobed, 2 in. long and in loose, axillary racemes.
Fruit: Fruit are 12 in. long, 2-valved, curved, horn-shaped capsules.
Uses: Use as an ornamental specimen or grow in a greenhouse. Young fruits can be pickled and eaten.
