Swinford Street in San Pedro, is easily accessible from the 110 and 710 freeways, and it’s in close proximity to passenger departures and arrivals to Catalina Island via ferry and helicopter. The vessel departs for Catalina Island Monday through Friday at approximately 4:00 p.m.. Catalina Express offers a comfortable and enjoyable ride to and from the island. The vessel is smooth and stable. Enjoyed a Bloody Mary from the bar on the ride out to the island. Was well spiced and strong. Watch for dolphins jumping in the surf next to the boat as you ride. This is a pricey ride but worth it. The Catalina express is the ONLY way to go to Catalina. It's moderately priced and gets you from Long Beach (our departure point) or San Pedro to the Island in less than an hour. Ample seat.
