How long do you all allow after turning in 5 cards for someone to nope? The rules seem to read that you basically only have until the player gets their card out of the pile. We've had some tension over this – someone will drop 5 cards and swipe a diffuse, so another player noping plays the card as the diffuse is grabbed. The way I play is that pretty much every nope has a time limit. If you use a See the Future, and get the three cards up before I nope you, then obviously, you've seen the cards and can't be noped. In this instance, if you get the discard pile up (or at least part of it) before the nope goes out, then you have beaten the nope. Unless! You play a Defuse card, which will stop the kitten from exploding using things like laser pointers, Kitten Yoga, and catnip sandwiches.. or.
